In summer 2019, Emily’s House held our first “away camp” with bereaved families and siblings travelling to a partner camp in northern Ontario.  The “Camp Evermore” program included recreation and respite, with elements of therapeutic counselling, peer support and recreational therapy incorporated to encourage well-being.  One program leader wrote: “Camp Evermore was held over three days for families who had a child die at Emily’s House. Families were offered Art Therapy, Music Therapy and support through friendships. Songs were song, laughs and tears were shared. We planted a tree in memorial of all the children who brought us together. Every year we go back, the tree will grow just as our community and the friendships will.”
